Welcome to the Qamar Foundation, an initiative born out of our commitment to making a positive impact in the world. At Qamar by Sumayya, we have always strived to blend the beauty of modern Middle Eastern designs into our abayas and thobes, and now, we are extending our vision beyond fashion to serve a greater purpose – serving those in need.
The Qamar Foundation is not just about giving back; it's about embodying the principles of compassion and generosity that are deeply rooted in our faith. As Muslims, we are reminded time and again in the Quran and Hadith about the importance of charity and looking after one another.
One of the teachings in Islam regarding charity is mentioned in the following verse from the Quran:
وَيُطْعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسْكِينًۭا وَيَتِيمًۭا وَأَسِيرًا
"And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive." (Quran 76:8)
This verse beautifully shows the essence of charity in Islam – giving selflessly to those who are less fortunate, regardless of one's own attachment to their wealth and belongings.

As we move forward, let us remember the words of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity."
